People become corrupt when the system let them.

In Ghana, you could spend up to eight hours to have your data collected for your passport. It’s the same for driver’s license and voters ID cards.

For The national ID, you could spend up to 24hours if you couldn’t queue at 3 am.

All these hours affect productivity.

When a system is defective, people become frustrated, helpless, and depressed. In this situation, they are more willing to pay bribes to receive what is due to them.

To stop corruption, you must make the system work efficiently. Simplify the process to the barest minimum. Also, employ modern technology that eliminates human fallibility such as nepotism, lie, theft and the like.
