In 2015, I authored, illustrated, and designed Surviving Power Outages on a Shoestring: 10 Practical Tips to Keep Going, a practical guide born out of the frequent power crises in Ghana. The book, updated in 2025, offers actionable advice for individuals and businesses to navigate power outages, especially when resources are limited.

The artwork style was inspired by paper folds. Frustrated after a power outage, I sat in rage, folding pieces of paper on my desk. That’s when the idea struck.

These quirky illustrations symbolize frustration and imperfection, while the dominant use of yellow represents vibrancy and resilience.

This project holds a special place in my portfolio, not only because it combines my skills as a writer, illustrator, and designer but also because it addresses a real-world issue that impacts millions. The book was published by Mojaka Studio, and all rights are reserved.
