We need to talk. Face-to-face.

There’s something special about meeting people in person and having a real conversation. It’s an existential experience where we engage through both verbal and nonverbal cues. COVID-19 made face-to-face communication nearly impossible, forcing people into isolation. Voices were confined to phone calls, and words were reduced to text messages.

This mixed-media illustration reimagines life during lockdown and reflects how much we once valued face-to-face communication. It incorporates textures from found objects and cultural patterns, blending nostalgia with modern expression.
